Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama said Tuesday the government should raise the federal deposit insurance limit from $100,000 to $250,000 as part of a renewed approach to shoring up the U.S. economy.

- Okay. Let's give Obama some room for doubt. If he really is going to make some CHANGE...how about a law that NO MEMBER OF CONGRESS MAY ACCEPT ANY GIFT, NO MATTER HOW SMALL FROM ANYONE WHILE IN OFFICE. (with appropriate language to except gifts from family members for Birthdays and Christmas)....

- Someone said "read the article" .. we did read it.... keep in mind that the predictions are 'based on computer models.' Garbage in, garbage out! The person who said they are doing it for the grants is correct. There is lots of money in 'global warming' science...

- Bailouts are a big mistake and will not work; Republicans should not agree to any plan; the democrats just want the GOP in the mix so they have someone to blame when, not if, the plan doesn't work; let the Dems pass it and fail with the plan on their own, then the public will know who to blame.
